My view continues to evolve but currently I am actually leaning toward a team of 3 people being optimal rather than the one or the other proposed. There is the EA representing the IT strategy that is try…
Thanks - that's pretty much my conclusion as well. I'll probably contribute to AA once in a great while but, for the most part, I want to focus on the deep end of rulebase technology. Unfortunately, that puts a mental block in front of most of my clients who think that I'm going to talk over their head about arcane and obtuse points that won't matter when, in reality, the topics will be very much to the point and focused on problems that they are having.
What I would like to do is find someone to whom I could teach these things but I haven't found anyone yet. Even Rolo wants to focus on business pizzaz and flash rather than solving problems. But, sometimes you have to lure newbies in with promises of ice cream before they will eat their sprouts.
Again, thanks for your evaluation of the two sites. Maybe after a few months (years?) with AA some will move "up" to the hard core stuff. My venture for 2009 will be rulebased forecasting using rules for pre-processing the statistical nature of enterprise forecasting. Hopefully.
